Canadian Unity

After the 1995 referendum I moved a staying Canadian resolution dealing with the issue of partition among other factors. Cote Saint Luc was the first to pass such a resolution which was followed by forty other municipalities. These resolutions resulted in the Federal Government including the future borders of an independent Quebec as an issue to be considered in the Clarity Act, dealing with the procedures to address in discussion of a possible succession from Canada.

Suite au Referendum de 1995 j’ai proposé une résolution canadienne traitant, entre autre, de la question du partage. Côte Saint-Luc fut la première municipalité qui adopta cette résolution, suivis de quarante autres municipalités qui furent de même. Ces résolutions ont permis au gouvernement fédéral, y compris les futures frontières d'un Québec indépendant, de prendre en considération dans le Clarity Act les procédures permettant de répondre à la discussion d’une succession possible du Canada.
